Blowing a Hoo-Ley!

So this was meant to be a flying holiday, but so far i`ve clocked up more miles in the car! The strong winds from yesterday persisted today and it meant that both flights were cancelled early in the day. Annoying, because it was blue sky and no clouds too....but just too much x-wind to deal with.

So Clay and I decided to head to Napa Valley and take in some wine tastings. We stopped for lunch in Napa and picked up some information before hitting the wine trails. The place itself is truly beautiful, full of grapes (no surprise there then!), but also not spoilt by lots of commericalism.
We stopped at 4 vineyards and sampled the delights, I was driving so couldn`t get to blottered but Clay did well to get through a few glasses.

This evening it was my turn to show off my other passiom, a spot of golf, albeit crazy golf. The putter was hot and i romped home for a 12 shot victory!
All in all a very pleasant day. The winds have now dropped and looking good for 3 flights tomorrow, one the in grob, a checkout in the 172 and a spin in the Pitts....fingers crossed!
